Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Day: Significance & History

On this day every year,  Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Day honours the traditional religion, culture, spirituality, and heritage of the Yoruba people. The word Ìṣẹ̀ṣe means 'tradition', highlighting the foundational root of Yoruba culture, customs, and the worship of the Òrìṣà (deities). For generations, these spiritual practices have been preserved through oral communication, communal festivals, and sacred family lineages.
