iCarly Returns This Month!

The 2007 Nickelodeon teen sitcom iCarly is returning after ending its run in 2012.  

 Miranda Cosgrove (Carly), Nathan Kress (Freddie)  and Jerry Trainor (Spencer) will be reprising their roles in the streaming revival, which is set to premiere on the 17th of June, 2021, on Paramount +. This time, the gang navigate through life in their 20's, high school now behind them. 

Two new cast members are Laci Mosley, who will play Harper Raines, and  Jaidyn Triplett as Freddie's stepdaughter, Marissa, who will also be Carly's social media rival. 

However, it's not all happy news, as Jeanette McCurdy, who played Carly's tomboyish best friend Sam,m will not be returning as she has retired from acting, nor will the show's breakout character Gibby, played by Noah Munck. Added to that is Laci receiving racist messages and attacks on social media, a very sad thing to happen to her, considering the clamour for more diversity in T.V and Film. 

When will people ever learn to actually love? Don't worry, Laci, there are many, many people behind you!
