Baba Suwe Laid To Rest Today

 

The remains of Alhaji Babatunde Nurudeen Omidina (Baba Suwe) was laid to rest at his Ikorudu residence today; after a prayer led by Imams and attended by family, friends and colleagues; among them fellow comic actor and current President of the Theatre Arts  and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), Sunday Omobolanle (Aluwe), Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Jide Kosoko, Fausat Balogun (Mama Saje), Yinka Quadri and  Femi Adebayo.

In accordance to Islamic custom, the funeral should have taken place on the 22nd of November (the day of his death) but was delayed so his eldest son, based abroad will be able to attend. 

Baba Suwe will be greatly missed, his passing leaving a huge void in Nigerian Cinema.
