Keanu Reeves returns as Neo in the upcoming 4th installment of the Matrix franchise, The Matrix Resurrections,  sequel to The Matrix Revolutions. Carrie-Anne Moss returns as Trinity,  Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson. 

 However, Yahya Abdul-Mateen III replaces Lawrence Fishburne as Morpheus and the addition of new cast members- Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra and Telma Hopkins.

Directed by Lana Wachowski (also co-writer and co-creator of the franchise), it is scheduled to have its world premiere on the 18th of December in San Francisco, released in theatres and digitally steamed in HBO Max on the 22nd of December.
