Happy Birthday Tina Turner!

A very happy birthday to music icon Tina Turner, as she clocks 80 today. Born Anna Mae Bullock at Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939, Tina became a solo artiste after dissolving her abusive marriage and partnership with the late  Ike Turner- the duo known for their single A Fool In Love and other memorable songs including It's Gonna Work Out Fine and Proud Mary. Her autobiography, I, Tina was released in 1986 and then a more in depth version, Tina Turner: My Love Story in 2018. She is married to music executive, Erwin Bach and lives with him in Switzerland. Tina: The Musical, which chronicles her life, opened on April  17th  last year on Broadway. Dubbed the Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina has left her mark in the music industry, influencing several music artistes.
