Hurray! Olivia De Havilland is 104 Today

An infinite  hurrays and thanksgiving to the Almighty as Olivia de Havilland clocks the ripe age of 104 today.

The last surviving cast member of 1939's Gone With The Wind  and remaining few stars  of Old School Hollywood Cinema, the British American actress'  film career really began when she played Arabella Bishop in Captain Blood,  with the late Errol Flynn, who she eventually starred in 7 more films today, notably The Adventures of Robin Hood   and  Dodge City. She also made  radio, stage and television appearances. Her  TV work included  Roots: The Next Generation Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna and North and South: Book II, retiring from acting entirely in 1988, after a 53 year career, eventually moving to Paris, where she currently resides.

Her late sister, Joan Fontaine, who passed away in 2013, was also a leading actress in her own right, starring in Jane Eyre RebeccaSuspicion and The Women.

We fans wish Dame  de Havilland a very, very happy birthday!
