'Ilu America' To Make World Premiere Dec. 4th
Ilu America (Land of America), produced and directed by Taiwo Oduala is slated to make its world premiere at Cinemark 18 and XD Theatre, in Los Angeles, California. Subtitled in English, Ilu America is about an immigrant, Ade, who is forced to discover the meaning of resilience, as he struggles to overcome hardships and obstacles to obtain American citizenship; something many, many immigrants can definitely relate to! It stars leading Taiwo Oduala, Doris Simeon, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), Bayo Bankole, Ayo Mogaji, Mistura Asunramu, Femi Brainard, Shina Ayooyinlola, and Isreal Ogunleye Alayo.
Ilu America was first released in 2019, and has gained acclaim and several accolades since then; winning an award at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for 'Best Diaspora Film,' and has already received seven official selections at the Hollywood New Directors Film Festival, Black Film Festival, San Diego Black Film Festival, Marina del Rey Film Festival, Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, Golden State Film Festival, and the Culver City Film Festival.
“This film promises to break Hollywood and Nollywood barriers,” says Oduala.
Oduala is currently developing his next two feature films, 'Love from America' and 'Dreaming of America.' TRAILER
