Happy birthday, Olu Jacobs


Reel Illustrated wishes veteran Nigerian 
actor Olu Jacobs, a  very happy 81st birthday. 

Born on the 11th of July, 1942, Olu Jacobs recieved his classic training in acting and drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. He appeared in several British, American and Nigerian productions during his 40 year career; earning awards for his achievements. From 1990 to 1993, he played Inspector Best Idafa in the Nigerian crime series, "The Third Eye", which starred late former child actress, Yomi Adeyemi Wilson as his precocious daughter Uze, who helped him solve his cases. 

He met  fellow veteran and classically trained actress, Joke Silva in 1981, marrying her in 1989.
