Happy 89th birthday, Professor Wole Soyinka

Reel Illustrated congratulates Professor Wole Soyinka on his 89th birthday today. 

Born on the 13th of July, 1934, Professor Soyinka is known for his books, plays , poems and essays. In 1986, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, the first African to receive the prestigious honour. 

The late music maestro, Fela Aníkúlápó- Kuti,  was his first cousin.
