Onyenka Onwenu To Be Laid To Rest in Lagos Today

Late veteran singer, actress and broadcaster Onyeka Onwenu is to be laid to rest today, 30th August 2024. According to reports, her funeral will be held at Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, followed by the final interment at the Ikoyi Vaults and Gardens, Lagos. 

Known as 'The Queen of Songs' and  'Elegant Stallion'; Onyeka Onwenu passed away on the 30th of July from a heart attack during a live performance at a birthday party. Aside from her contributions to the music, film and television industry, she was known for her advocacy for peace, education and health matters. She's  survived by her 2 sons and grandchildren.

 She will be dearly missed. 🕊💞
