Beloved Yoruba actor, writer, producer & director, Alhaji Taiwo 'Ogogo' Hassan, passed away on Sunday, 23rd August and was buried in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday,  witnessed by family, friends and colleagues who paid their last respects and prayers for his soul.

The 8th Firdaus prayer and 40-day Artists' Day tribute dates have been announced, and tributes still pour in as he's being remembered.

From Alhaji Yinka Quadri, actor, filmmaker  and long-time friend:

You were more than a friend to me. You were my brother, my confidant, and my companion… You may have left this world, but you will never leave my heart. May Almighty God forgive your sins, grant you eternal rest, and give your family, children, friends, and loved ones the strength to bear this painful loss.

From actor, Dele Odule, actor, producer, writer and long-time friend:

My dear friend and brother of nearly 40 years. Ours was one of those friendships that life just blesses one with. When we met as young men trying to navigate life, who between us would have thought we would form a bond that would last for decades and turn friends into brothers? I cherish every single bit of that time. You have lived your life and left an indelible mark. Sugbon, a se eyi o wu ni Olorun Oba. May the Almighty Allah accept your good deeds and grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus. Rest well, my brother. You will never be forgotten.

From veteran actor, Alhaji Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello):

Omo kulodo... Erin wo! May Allah accept your return, our dearest Ogogo

From his son, actor and filmmaker, Femi Adebayo:

Thank you for the years, the stories, the lessons, and the moments that made us fall in love with the craft. You were a true pillar of Yoruba cinema, and your impact will live on in generations to come. You will forever be Ogogo to us.

From actor,  Saidi Balogun:

You can rest now, my brother Taiwo Hassan Ogogo. May Almighty Allah guide you through Aljannah. This is truly painful.

From veteran actress, Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje):

God loves him more than we do. May God be with his children; no one can be like a father to them

From veteran actor, Jide Kosoko:

We pray that Almighty Allah grants him eternal rest and gives his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss

From veteran actor,  filmmaker and  flim/music marketer, Gbenga Adewusi;
