Tim Curry (1946 –2026)

                                                      

Veteran English actor and singer  Tim Curry passed away yesterday, after years of health issues following a massive stroke in 2012. He was 80 years old. 

Curry began his career on stage and made his film debut in 1975, when he reprised his role as the eccentric Dr Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which he had previously played in the original stage musical in London. 

His other notable films include Annie, Clue, The Three Musketeers, Congo, Scary Movie 2, and Charlie's Angels. He was also known for his T.V roles, playing the Bard in Will Shakespeare (1978), Bill Sikes in Oliver Twist (1982), the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King's novel It &  guest roles in Criminal Minds & Monk. His voice roles (which he continued with after his stroke) included the diabolical Forte in Beauty & The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, the Goblin King in Scooby-Doo! and the Goblin King, but the most memorable was Hexxus in FernGully: The Last Rainforest, where he sang 'Toxic Love'.
