Notice From Reel Illustrated

Loyal Readers. 

After years of covering general entertainment, literature, music and art, Reel Illustrated is rebranding. 

From now on, this blog's content will focus mostly on Nigerian, African and Pan-African content. The only exception will be the Nostalgia NTA page, where it will feature fondly remembered or half-forgotten shows that aired on Nigerian Television from the 80's. 

Nigeria's overall entertainment deserves its spotlight due to its achievements over the years.  As for Africa, African storytelling does not stop at the borders of the continent, however. Pan- Africanism is about unity, shared history and cultural connection. Reel Illustrated wishes to build a digital bridge connecting the entire global Black diaspora through cinema, literature, theatre & art. 

Whether film or any creative work originating from Lagos, Johannesburg, Kingston, London or the States- if it's rooted in Black and African identity, it has a home here at Reel Illustrated.
