Emmy Awards 2024: Winners
The 2024 Emmy Awards took place on September 15th at the Peacock Theatre and were hosted by veteran actor Eugene Levy and his son, Dan. Some of the standout shows for awards and nominations were 'Shogun,' 'Hacks,' 'Baby Reindeer,' and 'The Bear.'
The FX series "The Bear" received a record-breaking 23 nominations and won 11 awards in the comedy category. "Hacks" won Best Comedy, with Jean Smart winning for her lead role. "Shogun" received 18 awards, including Best Drama, and the Netflix drama "Baby Reindeer" earned 6 awards in the limited series category. Richard Gadd, the writer, producer, and lead actor of "Baby Reindeer," won the Best Actor Emmy.

Best Drama Series: Shōgun (which has a previous 1980 adaptation, by the way)
Best Comedy: Hacks
Best Actor in a Drama Series: Hiroyuki Sanada, for Shōgun
Best Actress in a Drama Series: Anna Sawai, for Shōgun
Best Limited Series: Baby Reindeer (given it was based on Richard Gadd's bad experience... ok...)
Best Actress in a Limited Series: Jodie Foster, for True Detective: Night Country. (Wow... she beat Sofia Vergara, for Griselda!!! )
Best Actor in a Limited Series: Richard Gadd, for his creation, Baby Reindeer)
Best Directing for a Drama Series: Shōgun, Frederick E.O. Toye for "Crimson Sky"
Best Directing for a Comedy Series: The Bear — Christopher Storer for “Fishes”
Best Writing for a Limited Series: Richard Gadd, for Baby Reindeer
Best Writing for a Drama Series: Slow Horses, Will Smith, for Negotiating With Tigers (Nope.. not The Fresh Prince)
Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series: Jessica Gunning for Baby Reindeer
Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series: Jeremy Allen White for The Bear
Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Billy Crudup, for The Morning Show (no offence, I would have given it to Mark Duplass instead.)
