Qfest (Quramo Festival of Words) 2025: Day 4 Highlights

 The last day of the annual festival included the following events: 

The screening of the mockumentary, Sin is a Puppy. Directed by Remi Vaughn-Richards, it focused on the life and writing career of Hausa author Balaraba Ramat Yakubu, via various interviews and re-enactments of some of her novels. 

                                                    

- Q Conversation: The CEO of Quramo Publishing Ltd interviewed veteran actress, producer & businesswoman, Joke Silva.                                

                        

Word Slam: Judged by Irish poet, Stephen James Smith, Professor Mukoma Wa Ngugi, James Murua, and the audience, the Open Mic Spoken Word Competition had 10 participants, with young poet, Michael Adeyemi Gnaho, emerging the winner.
