"Other Worlds Than These": Stephen King Wraps Up 'The Talisman' Trilogy
Stephen King is set to release the 3rd book in The Talisman trilogy, Other Worlds Than These, on October 6th, 2026. The story is linked to King's 8-book epic- The Dark Tower.
The Talisman, published by Viking in 1984, and its sequel, Black House, published by Random House in 2001, were co-written by Stephen King and the late Peter Straub, who passed away in 2022.
Other Worlds Than These, published by Scribner & illustrated by Gabriel RodrÃguez, still credits Peter Straub as co-author, as the upcoming novel is partially based on notes left by the late author and poet.
Unlike King's stories, mostly set in his home state, Maine, The Talisman was set in New Hampshire, while Black House was set in Straub's home state, Wisconsin.
Plot: An aged Jack Sawyer must stop a rampaging gang of infected teenagers from America-side, and the forces of the mysterious Gullet at the edge of Mid-World, before it destroys our world and all worlds.
