Charly Boy's "999": What to Expect
Charly Boy (Charles Oputa) has described his upcoming memoir, 999, as a form of rebellion rather than a traditional biography.
Set to be released this year, the memoir delves into his journey as the son of the late Supreme Court Justice Chukwudifu Oputa, his music career and his unconventional cultural icon status. Over his 40-year career, he has utilised his brand to challenge hypocrisy and advocate for social justice.
Readers can also expect the author's sharing of raw and personal truths, such as his prostate disease prognosis, struggles with erectile dysfunction, his four marriages, and his relationships with his parents. 999, the title symbolising new beginnings, is further described as a "manual for people who are tired of living on autopilot."
Charly Boy's first memoir, My Private Part, which candidly explored his personal life, was released on March 15, 2007.
