King Kosoko: The Battle for Lagos is based on the true story of the 12th Oba of Lagos & his battle to retain the slave trade & control of Lagos' commerce against British interference, which led to the British Navy's bombardment of Lagos in December 1851.

 Produced by Ayo Ajayi and Segun Olojo-Kosoko, it was directed by Adebayo Tijani and stars Femi Adebayo as Oba Kosoko, who reigned over Lagos from 1845 to 1851, after seizing power from his uncle, Oba Akintoye, during the Ogun Olomiro (the Salt-Water War). 

This historical epic drama, very sadly, was the final screen appearance of Alhaji Taiwo 'Ogogo' Hassan, who passed away on the 23rd of August. TRAILER
