"A Series of Unfortunate Events" Coming To Netflix
The eight part adaptation of Lemony Snicket's 13 part children series, set be released on the 13th of January 2017, was previously adapted into a film in 2004, starring Jim Carey as the villainous antagonist Count Olaf- who adopts the Baudelaire orphans and schemes to steal their great fortune, after a mysterious fire (which he may have caused) burns their mansion to the ground, killing their parents. However, in each story to the last book- The End, the Baudelaire orphans always managed to narrowly thwart him.
Neal Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser M.D, How I Met Your Mother) stars as Count Olaf, Malina Weismann as Violet Baudelaire, Louis Hynes as her book/ word obsessed brother Klaus , Alfre Woodard as Aunt Josephine and Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket.
Fun Facts:
Each book in the series would be adapted into two episodes of the series, with the first four books covered in the first eight episodes.
One of the series' executive producers is the author of the books.
