Osuofia Resurfaces... In Miami

Veteran actor/ comedian Nkem Owoh's breakout role was arguably the annoying and comical  Osuofia who becomes a 'fish out of water' when he travels to England after the death of his brother, where he experiences various misadventures as he creates havoc and clashes with his bewildered (almost) sister-in-law Samantha (Mara Derwent) in 2003's Osuofia In London, produced and directed by Kingsley Ogoro. The movie was so successful that a sequel came out the following year, Osuofia in London Part 2,  but was not well received like its predecessor.

Now, probably inspired by the success of  Living In Bondage: Breaking Free, Osuofia is coming back to theatres next year via the new sequel,  Osuofia goes to Miami; with  Nkem Owoh reprising his iconic role. Naturally, it will be shot in Miami, Florida and its production handled by Play Network Studios,  directed by Agozie Ugwu. Being the actor he is, there's no question if Owoh will be able to put Osoufia's shoes back on since that's what everybody calls him off-screen anyway. So... what misadventures await him in Miami?

This again proves that Nollywood can be re-invented, via past works being re-visited through sequels and better yet, remakes.
