'Coming 2 America' Debuts in March

Not a good idea, not a good idea at all. Just my opinion! 

Directed by Craig Brewer, the  sequel to Coming To America, aptly named Coming 2 America *eye roll*  debuts  on the 5th of March, 2021, with Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall (yay!!!), Shari Headly, Vanessa Bell Calloway, John Amos, Louie Anderson, Paul Bates and the now 90 year old James Earl Jones reprising their roles. 

New cast members include Jermaine Fowler as the long lost heir, Leslie Jones as his mother, comedian Tracy Morgan as his uncle Reem, veteran Wesley Snipes as Hakeem's nemesis, General Izzi, rapper Rotimi as his son Pretty Iddi, Kiki Layne as Princess Meeka Joffer, the first of Hakeem's three daughters and Nigeria's very own Davido as himself. 

Due to the current pandemic, the sequel will be digitally released on Prime Video. Damn you Covid. 

Reel Sum Up... 

On discovering he has a son, Prince Hakeem (Murphy) and his aide Semmi (Hall) return to America to find him and groom him for his future position. However, they would  have to contend with the hostile General Izzi, brother of Hakeem's original bride, Imani, who schemes to take over Zamunda.
