'Chino's Treasure Hunt' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

 

The award-winning writer recently announced the release of her upcoming  2nd children's book, Chino's Treasure Hunt, on Instagram. 

Illustrated by Joelle Avelino, who previously illustrated Adichie's first children's book, Mama's Sleeping Scarf, the book is a heartwarming story about family and the relationship between a grandchild and grandparents. Chino and her toy rabbit are initially reluctant to stay with Grandma and Grandpa. However,  after discovering a map, she and her grandparents go on a magical treasure hunt in the garden, making exciting discoveries along the way.

Chino's Treasure Hunt will be released in the UK on June 18, 2026 & July 14, 2026, in the US.
