NEW! : Herbert Macaulay Biopic, 'The Herbert Macaulay Affair'

Actor  William Benson plays the role of revered nationalist and Father of Nigeria- Sir Herbert Samuel Olayinka Heelas Badmus Macaulay - in the biopic,  The Herbert Macaulay Affair, by ace filmmaker, Imoh Umoren. And it's about time we had another biopic, hopefully, more Nigerian directors will look into that- so far we've been given  93 Days and 76.

Also featured in the film is veteran actor Wale Macaulay- grandson to Sir Macaulay (surprising enough), fellow veteran Saheed Balogun, Toni Chuwurah, Kelechi Udegbe and Stanley Ohikhuare among others.  The biopic hits cinemas across the country tomorrow, 25th October 2019.



Reel Sum Up... 

Nigeria, the 1920s.

The grandson of Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther,  Herbert Macaulay,  returns from England and is immediately appalled by the segregation he witnesses. Battling with the colonial government to gain equality for Nigerians, the future nationalist soon earns their wrath and faces more opposition on a personal level when he falls in love with Caroline Pratt, whose father happens to be a Superintendent of police in Her Majesty's service. Herbert must now fight for both love and the freedom of his country.
