Ramsey Nouah expected to shine in "'76"
Since his debut in the cancelled T.V series, "Fortunes"-later renamed "Mega Fortunes" in the nineties, the Edo state born Israeli-Nigerian actor has been known for his "pretty boy" roles in various Nollywood movies; be he the hero or the villain. However, there were times he played more significant and memorable roles. He impressed fans especially in the 2004 "Dangerous Twins" where he played identical yet totally different twins, "The Figurine" in 2009 and "The Grave Dust" in 2015.
" '76" being a historical drama is a huge departure from the previous genres he's appeared in and certainly a different type of role. This time, he is a 70's era military officer and based on what the movie is about, there can be no doubt that Nouah will give a stunning performance that will force the audience to see beyond the "pretty boy" image. And considering the movie itself has been under production for five years, it's bound to be hugely successful.
REEL SUM UP:
A young officer (Ramsey Nouah) is accused of being involved in the unsuccessful military coup and assassination of the then Military Head of State, General Muritala Muhammed.
The movie also stars Rita Dominic and Chidi Mokeme and will hit Nigerian cinemas in November 26, 2016.
