Happy 70th  birthday to veteran pop/new wave  artiste, actress and activist Cyndi Lauper; born on the 22nd of June, 1953.

Her first album "She's So Unusual" released in 1983 bagged four Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned her a Grammy for Best New Artist in the 1985 Grammy awards. To date, she has released 11 studio albums, 7 compilation albums, 5 video albums and 33 music videos. She was one of the artistes  who sang the USA For Africa charity song, "We Are The World" and has also appeared in several films and T.V shows.

Her most notable songs include Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time and True Colors.
