Books have many purposes, for entertainment, for knowledge, to research facts, for spirituality or take us to different worlds outside ours.

Today being World Book and Copyright Day, we celebrate the books, the general love for reading and how books shape our lives every day, whatever genre one prefers; fiction, non fiction, history as well as children's lit. 

Speaking as the creator of Reel Illustrated, I can completely testify how books and reading are important to me, since I was a child.  Reading books is like opening a treasure chest of fiction and research, and if you're anything like me, you simply want to read more and lots more. One simply can't have enough books and that feeling of wanting to learn and read more stays with you.

Authors have their personal take on books and reading but the general message is the same: 

"Knowledge is power".
