Remembering Dharmendra (1935-2025)

 

Veteran Bollywood actor, producer & politician Dharmendra Kwewal Krishan Deol passed away today at his Mumbai home, India. He was 89 years old. 

Regarded as one of the most commercially successful actors in Indian cinema, Dharmendra played the lead in many Bollywood films, some featuring his 2nd wife, Hema Malini. 

                                             

Some of his notable films include  Bam Balram, Sholay, Jugnu, Pratiggya, Dream Girl, Ghazab, Hukumat & The Burning Train. 

He's survived by his 2 wives, 6 children & 13 grandchildren. 

                                       

His long-time friend &  co-star Amitabh Bachchan was among those who joined the Deol family for the last rites at the Pawan Hans crematorium. 

Dharmendra's death marks the end of an era in Bollywood. Never forgotten.
