American Crime Story Season 2: Gianni Versace

Season 2 of the true crime anthology series, American Crime Story, focuses on the shocking  murder of Italian designer and founder of Versace; Gianni Versace.  Gianni was murdered on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion on the 15th of July, 1997 by serial killer Andrew Cunanan; who had previously killed 5 people.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace premiered on the 17th of this month with the episode 'The Man Who Would Be Vogue'. In the episode,  Gianni (Edgar Ramirez)  is gunned down by Cunanan (Darren Criss) , who then fled the scene. The episode also went back 7 years, when Cunanan met Gianni at a gay nightclub and later on attended one of the designer's fashion shows. The ending showed Gianni's grieving siblings, Santo (Giovanni Cirfiera) and Donatella (Penelope Cruz), deciding on the future of the company.

Unlike the previous season- The People Vs O.J Simpson- Season 2 is made up of 9 episodes. The next episode- 'Manhunt'- airs on the 24th.
