'The Young & Restless' Veteran , Kristoff St. John Passes Away

It's indeed a very sad day, due to the news of Kristoff St. John's sudden death. The 52-year-old, who recently announced his engagement, was found in his Los Angeles home on Sunday and so far, the cause of his untimely death is yet to be reported.

The late Emmy and NAACP Image award winner played Neil Winters in the CBS soap The Young & The Restless  from 1991, making him the longest running African-American character in the show. Before then, he was in other T.V shows,  The Cosby Show, A Different World, Roots: The Next Generation, Family Matters, Living Single and the short-lived soap, Generations- the first soap in history to largely feature an African-American family.

Kristoff St. John had experienced tragedy in 2014 when his son Julian committed suicide after battling mental illness. Today's tragic news has left his fiancee, daughter, fans and Y&R cast devastated.

Eric Braeden, who has played Victor Newman in Y&R  since 1980,  expressed his deep sadness at the loss of his colleague and friend on social media.

Another Y&R veteran Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Abbott Newman)  also played tribute:

Criminal Minds, S.W.A.T actor Shemar Moore, who played Kristoff's character's younger brother Malcolm from 1994 to 2005 but briefly returned in 2014 had this to say:

From Scott Clifton who plays Liam Spencer in Y&R's sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful

From Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan in The Bold & The Beautiful)...

This is honestly a devastating loss. R.I.P to a very versatile actor.
