'King of Boys' Sequel Returns on Netflix

 

Sola Sobowale reprises her role as Eniola Salami in the sequel of the 2018 drama, written and directed by Kemi Adetiba. However, the sequel, 'King of Boys: The  Return of the King' is now  a seven episode series, which is set to be released on the 27th of August, 2021, on Netflix. 

In the sequel, Eniola returns after a five year exile, much to the chagrin of her past and present enemies. And as her so called trusted allies desert her in droves, Eniola has to deal with an inner battle within, as she seeks much needed redeemption. 

Returning for the sequel are Akin Lewis, Keppy Ekpenyoung Bassey Inyang, rapper Reminisce and Osas Ighodaro. New members of the cast include RMD, Charles 'Charly Boy' Oputa, Deyemi Okanlawon and Nse Ikpe Etim. 

"I'm so honoured that today I get to share the world of Eniola Salami and 'King of Boys 2: The Return of the King' to a global audience, but this time with the massive backing of Netflix," says writer and director, Kemi Adetiba.
