'CULT OF CHUCKY' COMING STRAIGHT TO VIDEO, OCTOBER 3RD 2017

Curse of Chucky Ending Scene...

It was definitely a huge surprise to see Andy again- the added bonus being he was once again played by former child actor Alex Vincent; who first appeared in the first 2 'Chucky' films; Child's Play and Child's Play 2.
In  Child's Play 3, Andy as a teenager was played by Justin Whalin.
As Don Mancini, who created Chucky and wrote all the films in the franchise, was pressured into developing the story for Child's Play 3 (set 8 years after the events of Part 2) before Child's Play 2 was even released, it was not well received as the first two.
Mancini brought back Chucky in Bride of Chucky, where his girlfriend Tiffany was first introduced, a disappointing travesty as it was more of a horror-comedy and worse, Andy was not in it. And should I get started on 2004's Seed of Chucky; which was so bad, we simply have to ignore it. Respect to Mancini but seriously, WHAT was he thinking?

Curse of Chucky brought Chucky's story back to its dark roots and to a new family, the blood count piling up  but it was towards the end of the movie, the audience saw why Chucky targeted them in the first place. Now, the witness blamed for the murders he committed will appear again in this new instalment. We should have known by now that Chucky always comes back- be it being burnt, shot in the heart,  blown up, torn to pieces but seeing he apparently resurrected after Andy shot him is a bit of a dampener. But I want Nica (played by Brad Dourif's daughter Fiona)  out of custody so  I personally hope that this time, we are going to see the last of Chucky- Andy finishing him off once and for all.

REEL SUM UP: Four years after the events of Curse of Chucky, Nica is given a 'Good Guy' doll as part of her psychological treatment by her psychiatrist, who believes Chucky is a figment of her imagination. But after a fresh string of murders begin, Andy Barclay, Chucky's former owner (Alex Vincent)  comes to Nica's aid. However, he not only has Chucky to contend with, but Chucky's vicious girlfriend, Tiffany as well.
Cult of Chucky is coming out straight to video- DVD, Blu-Ray and VOD on October 3rd, 2017

Cult of Chucky is written and directed by  Don Mancini; Brad Dourif, Alex Vincent, Fiona Dourif and Jennifer Tilly reprising their roles as Charles Lee Ray/Chucky, Andy Barclay, Nica Pierce and  Tiffany respectively.
