Coming November: CREED II

Mark your calendars... the sequel of 2015's Creed will be officially released on the 21st of November, 2018.  Written by the franchise's creator Sylvester Stallone... and Juel Taylor,  Michael B. Jordan reprises his role as Adonis 'Donnie' Creed, who embarks on a vigorous training regime to take on  Viktor Drago (Florian Munteanu), son of Ivan Drago who killed Adonis' father Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers)  30 years ago  but  later defeated by Rocky Balboa (Stallone). Personally, that's not exactly a way of paying out someone who got away with murder. Aside from the epic fight between the two young men, we should also expect to see the bitter reunion between the two titans- Rocky and Ivan and probably another between Ludmilla Drago and Mary Anne Creed. What a pity Adrian won't be in the mix! And we should wonder, is Adonis motivated by his father's honour or revenge for his death?

Familiar faces reprising their roles... veteran Dolph Lundgren who played the remorseless Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, Brigitte Nielsen (Sly's ex-wife)  as his wife Ludmila... no doubt ready to defend her son like she defended her  scum of a husband,  Phylicia Rashad as Apollo's widow and Adonis' stepmother Mary Ann, Tessa Thompson as Adonis' girlfriend Bianca, Wood Harris as trainer Tony 'Little Duke' Evers, Milo Ventimiglia as Rocky's son, Robert Balboa Jr.  and of course the man himself- Sylvester Stallone, as Rocky Balboa.
