Happy 70th Birthday, Denzel Washington

Happy 70th birthday to prolific American actor, producer and director, Denzel Washington; born on the 28th of December, 1954. 

In his decades' long career, Washington has earned several awards for his work on screen and the  stage, including 3 Golden Globes, 2 Oscars,  a Tony, an AFI Life Achievement Award and a Cecil B. DeMille Award, along with several nominations. 

Washington is the 2nd African American actor to win Best Supporting Actor Oscar, for his role in the 1989 war film, Glory and the 2nd African American actor to win the Best Actor Oscar for his iconic role as the corrupt police detective, Alonzo Harris in Training Day.
