Keanu Reeves To Reprise Dark Role

Keanu Reeves is set to reprise his dark role in the sequel of the 2005 superhero  horror film, Constantine. Loosely based on the D.C Comics "Hellblazer" series, Constantine is an exorcist with the ability to sense and communicate with half-angels and half-demons in their true forms and travel between Earth and Hell. In the previous film, he attempted to 'buy' his way to heaven by fighting demons, as he was guilty of suicide.

Director Francis Lawrence recently confirmed the sequel's development, and Reeves returning as the titular character and the difference between it and the previous film... its rating, which will now be R-rated.

“We finally have been sort of given the permission to go ahead and do our version of Constantine because people are always saving him to be part of some shared universe thing or some TV thing or whatever."

It is yet to be confirmed if Djimon Hounsou will return as Papa Midnite, Tilda Swinton as the half breed Archangel Gabriel or Peter Stormare as Lucifer.
