Eminem Releases Track From Upcoming Album

 

 "Houdini" is from Eminem's upcoming 12th studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). So far, the released track has gained  over 3 million views and over 400 thousand likes on EminemMusic channel on YouTube.

To promote the album, a fake obituary for Eminem's alter ego- Slim Shady- appeared in the Detroit Free Press newspaper on the 13th of May. 

"Ultimately, the very things that seemed to be the tools he used became calling cards that defined an existence that could only come to a sudden and horrific end. His complex and tortured existence has come to a close, and the legacy he leaves behind is no closer to resolution than the manner in which this character departed this world."

The phrase "coup de grâce" meaning "death blow",  gives a vague hint of Eminem's retirement from music after the full album's release.
