Games of Thrones' Final Season to be shot in October
Games
of Thrones fans should prepare to say a sad bye bye to the
show, as it will begin shooting its final season in October, which will consist of 8 episodes.
In a recent interview
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, revealed the production date
but as to what fans should expect in the final season, he has no idea yet.
‘I knew what was
going to happen for the first three seasons. After that, it’s been a season at
a time,” he said.
‘You get the scripts
a month before we start shooting, or six weeks, and then you know what’s going
to happen that season.
‘But, I don’t know
what’s going to happen next season. We go back in October, so maybe in the next
few weeks, we’ll get the scripts and I’ll find out. I’m very curious.’
Well... all things
must come to an end, right?
Game
of Thrones is the brainchild of George R.R Martins, author
of the epic-fantasy series of novels - A Song of Ice & Fire; the first book
of the series being ‘Game of Thrones’. Martins, who is a co-executive producer of the
show, can only be described as the American version of J.R.R Tolkien (probably called
that already), the show having such a huge following since probably Doctor Who.
What we
will get next, A Lord of the Rings T.V series?
