Original 'Roseanne' Cast Return For Reboot... BUT what about Johnny?
The memorable ABC sitcom Roseanne (1988-1997) is the latest addition of American shows being revived.; Twin Peaks (1990-1991), starring Kyle MacLachlan and cancelled after two seasons returned on the 21st of May this year, while Will & Grace (1998 - 2006) is set to return for a 12 episode limited series.
Roseanne, a sitcom about a working class family starred comedienne Roseanne Barr (who also served as Executive Producer) as Roseanne Connor and John Goodman (remember him as Fred in The Flintstones???) as her husband Dan. Fans were devastated when Dan Connor, a well loved character, was killed off after being absent for several episodes. But good news... according to a statement by ABC Entertainment's president, Channing Dungey; 'Dan' (Goodman) is among the old faces we will see again in the Roseanne reboot. "Dan is definitely still alive", he told reporters.
Yes!
Sara Gilbert and Laurie Metcalf, are also set to reprise their roles as Roseanne's younger daughter Darlene and sister Jackie respectively, ditto Michael Fishman who played her son, D.J and Alicia Goranson as their older daughter, Becky.
But... a very big But...
What about Johnny Galecki, who played Darlene's boyfriend and eventual husband, Kevin? Unlike, Gilbert and Metcalf who play recurring characters in CBS' The Big Bang Theory, he's one of the main cast members and committed to two more seasons in the show. Will we see him with Darlene in Roseanne?
Apparently so, because Galecki is currently still in talks concerning that so nothing is certain yet. Whatever but when S11 of The Big Bang Bang Theory arrives, fans don't want to be forced to deal with Leonard (Galecki) being absent for several episodes!
Roseanne begins shooting on October.
