Directed by: David Gordon Green
Release Date: 19th October 2018
Honestly, franchises can be exhausting, especially if the audience has to ignore or pretend some sequels don't exist. Which is what we would have to do with this one- because while this is the 11th installment, as the plot reveals, this is set exactly 40 years after the original movie hence, a direct sequel. So we should simply put the more significant sequels from our minds; Halloween II and Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and the not so great one Halloween: Resurrection, which should not have been made at all. And of course there was the Rob Zombie reboots made in 2007 and 2009, but at least he had John Carpenter's blessing to do them.
Jamie Lee Curtis, daughter of Psycho and The Fog's Janet Leigh, reprises her role of Laurie Strode, which happens to be her debut acting role. The original 1978 Halloween was directed by John Carpenter, who also directed The Fog.
Also returning is Nick Castle, who was the first actor to play Michael Myers/The Shape and who directed classic films including The Boy Who Could Fly, Hook, Dennis The Menace, Major Payne and The Seat Filler.
