UPCOMING: Dolemite Is My Name

The upcoming biopic stars veteran actor and comedian Eddie Murphy, portraying Rudy Ray Moore- who is regarded as the Godfather of Rap and was known for creating the comic alter ego 'Dolemite'  in his stand up comedy routines, which later on became an  iconic movie character in 1975's Dolemite, and its  three sequels. Making a comeback is fellow  veteran, Wesley Snipes, playing D'Urville Martin, an actor and director of several blaxploitation films in the seventies, as well as featuring in others like Guess Who's Coming To Dinner and Rosemary's Baby. 

Also starring is Mike Epps, Craig Robinson, Luenell, Aleksandar Filimonovic and Snoop Dogg. After its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 7, it will be released on Netflix. It is directed by Craig Brewer who directed Black Snake Moan and will direct Murphy's next film,  Coming To America 2.
