UPCOMING: Rambo: Last Blood

Nope... we have NOT heard the last of John Rambo! Since his debut in 1982's Rambo: First Blood, this has been Stallone's second most iconic role, the ultimate one being Rocky Balboa. Like his action movie counterpart, Arnold  Schwarzenegger, Sly is still in top form at 73 as he once again reprises the role after his surprise return in 2008.

In Rambo: Last Blood- the fifth entry in the franchise- Rambo takes a trip to Mexico, where he goes in search of the daughter of his friend, who has been kidnapped by the Mexican cartel. Yep, we should expect a lot of nastiness, based on the previous movies!

Directed by Adrian Grunberg, and also starring  Sergio Peris- Mencheta, Paz Vega, Adriana Barraza and Yvette Monreal,  it is scheduled to be released on the 20th of September, 2019.


Trivia

Al Pacino was considered to play Rambo in the first film before Sly but after his request that Rambo should be a psycho was refused, he turned down the role.

The late James Garner also turned down the role, as he was a real-life Korean War veteran and didn't like the idea of playing a returning war veteran who ends up fighting with cops.
