' Charlie's Angels' now in Cinemas

Reel Sum up...

The Angels put their lives at risk after a young systems engineer publicly exposes a dangerous technology.

This reboot... sorry, continuation, is written and directed by actress Elizabeth Banks, with Drew Barrymore, who co-starred in the previous re-imagining film version of the 70s T.V series, with Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu,  serving as executive producer.  The new Angels are Sabina, Elena and Jane played by Twilight's Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinksa respectively. Star Trek's Patrick Stewart plays Charlie's right hand man John Bosley, Elizabeth Banks herself playing former angel Rebekah Bosley and Djimon Hounsou as Edgar Bosley... don't ask. Taking on the role of the unseen Angel boss/millionaire Charles Townsend is Robert Clotworthy- hopefully he'll able to emulate the late John Forsythe who voiced the original Charlie.

This film follows the unsuccessful  2011 T.V reboot, which was cancelled, due to low ratings, featuring Annie Ngozi Illonzeh, Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor as the angels Kate, Eve and Abigail, Ramon Rodriguez as Bosley and Alias' Victor Garber  as Charlie.

Let's see how the 2019 version, now in cinemas, will pan out.
