Mara Menzies presents 'Blood & Gold' in August

About  Blood & Gold?

A dying mother gives her daughter a box containing three clues to a priceless treasure. This sets in motion a journey filled with humour and tragedy that considers the importance of ritual, identity and belonging.

On the 1st of August, 2019,  Blood & Gold will be narrated and presented before a live audience by talented Kenyan-Scottish storyteller, Mara Menzies; renowned for her dramatic storytelling style, making tales really come alive.  With Blood & Gold, Menzies will use ancient and contemporary narratives to explore the legacy of colonialism and slavery in modern-day Scotland.

Menzies' story presentation will take place at the Scottish  Storytelling Centre as part of the Edinburg Festival Fringe and Made in Scotland showcase.

The art of storytelling is no longer a lost art, as Menzies has brought it back.
