Stephen King is an American author known for his horror, crime, psychological thriller and science fiction novels, novellas & short stories. Most notable are Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shining, Misery, Pet Sematary, Thinner, The Dark Half, It & The Dark Tower series. 

To date, King has written 65 books  several of them have been adapted to film, T.V & stage.
