"Saworide" Now in English Language

 

Filmmaker Tunde Kelani announced today on social media the news that  Professor Akinwumi Isola's classic play Saworide  (which was adapted into a feature film in 1999) finally has an English Language edition now in print. 

Translated into English by Professor Pamela J. Olubunmi Smith (author of Tongue and Mother Tongue), it is set to be launched at Professor Isola's home in Ibadan, Oyo State, on the 5th of August, 2022.
