VIDEO: "Super Mario Bros. Movie" Trailer

 

The popular  Nintendo video game franchise  once again comes to life in the upcoming computer animated  comedy/adventure movie, a far cry from the disastrous live adaptation that starred the late Bob Hoskins as Mario and John Leguizamo as his brother, Luigi. The first adaptation was released in 1986, in Japanese,  by  the Shochiku-Fuji Company and directed by Masami Hata.

This time, Mario is voiced by Chris Pratt, Luigi by Charles Day, Princess Peach by Anya Taylor-Joy, the villian Bowser by Jack Black, Keegan Michael-Kay as Toad and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. The film is scheduled to be released on the 7th of April, 2023 by Universal Pictures, directed by  Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic.
