The police procedural comedy series Brooklyn 99's 'final ride' (its 8th and final season) will begin on August 12th, 2021. Season 8 will be the series' shortest, as it will consist of just 10 episodes. The series stars Andy Samberg as Jake Peralta , Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago Peralta Andre Braugher as Cpt. Raymond Holt, Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Terry Crewes as Lt. Terry Jeffords, Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle and o Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon Miller as the bumbling, food loving Hitchcock and Scully. It premiered on the 17th of September, 2013 in the Fox network and was immediately picked up by NBC after Fox cancelled it (God knows why) at the end of Season 5. Chelsea Perreti, who played the squad's oddball yet observant civil administrator and Holt's personal assistant, Gina Linetti, left in Season 6, with one last appearance in the episode, 'The Return of the King.'
In Season 8, Jake and Amy must face new challenges as they balance work and parenthood, while the rest of the 99 squad also balance their professional and personal lives. Hopefully, we'll get to see Boyle's girlfriend Genevieve (Mary Lynn Rajskub) finally marrying him and Rosa's ex boyfriend Adrian Pimento (Jason Mantzoukas) winning her back.
