"Rust" Filming Halted Pending Police Investigation
Filming of Alec Baldwin's current film Rust has been temporarily halted, following police investigation on the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on set. Alec Baldwin fired a prop gun which he believed to contain blanks, which killed Hutchins and injured the film's director Joel Souza. The date of resumption has not been publicly stated but hasn't been ruled out either.
The production team have been in close contact with Halyna's family since the sad incident and announced they will be making a donation to the Halyna Hutchins Scholarship Fund.
Baldwin, who is currently cooperating with the police with the investigation, has reached out to Halyna's husband and son and expressed his heartbreak over her death via Twitter:
