Happy birthday, Queen Salawa Abeni

 

A very happy 62nd birthday to veteran Nigerian singer Salawa Abeni Alidu; born on the 5th of May, 1961. 

Her first album, "Late General Murtala Ramat Mohammed" was released by Leader Records, in 1976-  the first recording by a female artist in Yoruba to sell over a million copies in Nigeria.
