Abeokuta Plays Host To BON Awards 2017



The 9th edition of the BON (Best of Nollywood) Awards  takes place this evening at the ancient city of Abeokuta, Ogun State- the venue being the June 12 Cultural Centre.

This year,  veteran actress Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde, Hausa actor  Ali Nuhu and filmmaker, Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen are  expected recipients of the Best of Nollywood Awards 2017 Special Recognition award. The event will be hosted by Hausa actress,  Rahama Sadau and  Tinsel star  Gbenro Ajibade will co-host the event, and various  artistes are on deck to entertain the  guests.
"The current administration in Ogun State is proud to be identified with this event and we promise to give all the needed support to ensure that this year’s edition is an even greater success story," according Dayo Adeneye, Minister of Information & Strategy.
