In Loving Memory: 'The Last Jedi' Pays Tribute To Carrie Fisher
The new instalment of
the Star Wars franchise- The Last Jedi- is the final film
appearance of Carrie Fisher, who sadly died on the 27th of December
2016.
Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the first original movies and then
General Leia in The Force Awakens, had
actually finished filming The Last Jedi
before her sudden death from a heart attack. At the end of the movie, there is
a touching tribute to the late actress, In
Loving Memory of Our Princess, Carrie Fisher.
‘I want to dedicate
tonight to Carrie,’ the movie’s director Rian Johnson said during The Last Jedi’s World premiere last
Saturday. ‘I know she’s up there right now flipping me the bird saying, Damn it Rian, how dare you bring the mood
down and make this night a solemn tribute. So let’s all have a blast
together for Carrie.’
Princess/General Leia will forever remain one of the quintessential heroines in movie
industry. And Carrie Fisher... never, ever forgotten as her fans hold her in
loving memory.
